Our Mission
Our mission is simple: Putting God's love into action by supporting kids who've experienced and or witnessed traumas within their homes and the communities around them. Although our vision began wanting to help those impacted by substance misuse within their homes, our hope is to create a safe place for all children effected by trauma. Our foundation takes a trauma-informed approach utilized with Christian values to teach them how to address conflict, how to recover from it, and create a new perspective of their lives.
We currently serve Richmond, VA, but we know God has global plans in our future!
EHF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that was founded on James 1:22-24, which states:
“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like” (NLT)
